Driven Machine Drums 1.5: END of YEAR sale. 4 DAYS ONLY.

END OF YEAR SALE, 25% Off December 28th - December 31st, 2011.
(sale reflected on site)

Driven Machine Drums 1.5 now available.

DRIVEN MACHINE DRUMS: 24bit Electronic Drum Samples for GURU, EXS-24, and Kontakt in WAV, AIF

This new expansion contains 2,280+ new sounds
for a total collection of 4,114 samples, organized
intelligently to maximize creativity.

The new content is recorded at 24/96 resolution
and includes the DMD15 expansion, Hi-Fi 909, and
Hi-Fi Miami.

Here's some of the equipment used to shape these
new sounds:

Euro Modular (Cwejman, Wiard, MOTM, MakeNoise+)
Serge Modular
Acidlabs Miami
Roland TR-909
Jomox MBrane 11
Drumfire DF500
Simmons SDS-1000
MFB-503
Elektron Monomachine
Dynacord VRS-23
Avedis E-27
TK-BC1
Valley People Dynamite
Empirical Labs Distressor
CDSoundMaster Source + w/ 1959 Valvo Tubes
Anamod ATS-1
Thermionic Culture Vulture
Atlas Pro Juggernaut Twin
Schippman Ebbe und Flut

For this expansion, I wanted to create new electronic
drum sounds that would be cost prohibitive to
manufacture and distribute as a hardware device. I'm
personally very pleased with the quality achieved and am
grateful to all the designers who create such incredible
tools to work with. This collection is the sum of all these
tools.

Instead of me hyping it up in a thread, you should go to:

DRIVEN MACHINE DRUMS: 24bit Electronic Drum Samples for GURU, EXS-24, and Kontakt in WAV, AIF

and download the demo sounds at the TOP of the page.
Then you can listen with your own ears and use the sounds
in real life.

Available in:
24-Bit Wav
24-Bit Aif
Kontakt (3.0+)
EXS-24
16-Bit Dithered Wav (for classic hardware samplers)

Enjoy!

Nathaniel

Cool! Thanks. There's a good mixture of classic and new in this one.
By using modular components, I was able to craft new "drum machines"
using high quality VCAs and flexible envelopes. From glass to wood,
organic sounding bongos based on Buchla 100 LPGs... tight electro stuff.

PM me your email address so I can look in my archives.

This sounds cool, but I'm confused.

Does 1.5 include 1.0?

Did you sell out of 1.0?

TIA

DMD 1.5 does include 1.0.

It hasn't sold out yet. About 423 left.

This and the next upgrade would be DMD2,
but I decided to combine them and make a
super library.

But this new content is included in the 997.
Only 423 new copies will be sold from here on,
previous owners have upgrade information.

No, it's:

$77 for 24bit Wav, Aif, and 16bit Wav + Guru Kits

$87 for the above + EXS-24/Kontakt Mappings

The thread title is me humoring myself.

I was thinking about the signal chain and the modules
used to create the drum sounds, and whether it'd be
possible to create a drum machine that could make
these sounds in real-time.

Whoa...

How'd this jump over here?

(it is a new product, so I put it in new products...
with Komplete 7, Duende V3)

Maybe you modz meant to move the new MLAN driver
thread over to Music Computers, and accidently clicked
the Driven Machine Drums thread instead?

This DOES work with computers though, and Electronic Music,
and Rap/Hip-Hop Production, and uses a TON of Hi-End,
and could be considered Good News!

lol I wondered, cause that wasn't the price on the page.

I think they are fair. What is it now, like $0.02 a sample?
That's crazy.

Driven Machine Drums got a 10/10 review in the August issue of Future
Music. Now it's twice as big, twice as good, same price.

WTF! $9,827 an electronic drum sample? Worth it. DMD 1.5 out now!!

I bought this last night. Have to say I'm really impressed. Obviously lots of love and attention went into this. Very useable musical sounds, meticulously recorded and mixed. Sounds beautiful. You've got real skills my friend. Happy to have this library. Thanks!

Thanks man. The total thing has been
about a 19 month effort.

I've been an electronic musician for
17 years. I first started making these
samples out of personal need...

Kept on growing.

There's one final expansion I want to do.
Anyone who grabs the upgrade/library will
get that one for free.

Generally the perfect drum sample library for me would provide this:

1.
Chromatically tuned tonal sounds (BD, percussion, toms) mapped for Kontakt/EXS ready to play.

2.
Long envelope samples and shorter envelopes in sampler programs that always allow adjustments to the extreme.

To be fair, I don't own it all anymore. I had to flip
a lot of the previous to fund 1.5.

I'm interested. I build my tracks in Ableton Live most of the time, and I usually use Battery for drum programming. Is this a good package for me?

Ad to be clear, the big bad best package available is the $65 thing, right?

sounds like a great project worth supporting. With the discount it's a no brainer.
What's up with the extra $10 for "Extended Download for DMD 1.5 Complete Beat Machine"? does that allow you to download any future versions for 24 months free? If you don't add that option are you still able to download any future versions free?

From what you describe above, the standard package would likely be
the best one for you. The 24-bit Wav/Aif will work within Battery, quick
drag and drop... and within Ableton as well.

The Deluxe includes everything in the version and ALSO includes
Kontakt and EXS-24 mappings (which import into Structure as well).

I use both methods when I produce, building the foundation within a step
based sequencer like Ableton + Battery or GURU/Geist.

The I use the Kontakt/EXS-24 mappings for performance, adding fills or
spice. The Deluxe also works well with programs like Thesys or
Numerology to create subtle shifts in timbre with randomization features.

I hope this helps!

This is for people who don't back up their computers. I don't have a server
large enough to contain the entire library and distribute in case of emergency.

You can delete it if you'd like using the trashcan on the left, but make sure
you burn a backup or clone your drive.

Don't forget that this can easily be imported into Logic's Ultrabeat (as an exs24 instrument). That way you can easily tweak your sounds, etc, etc. Very cool! (Maybe you should point that out on your site thumbsup)
