Ouch!

I think my monitor is fried on my laptop.
I started it up to mix a track, and to my surprise...
All the blues are trailing to the right, greys are purple, greens.. forget about it.

I tried reinstalling the vid card, but I knew it wouldn't help. I plugged in a second monitor, and it looked fine... Most def my lappy monitor.

Here's 2 pics. One the way it should look. The other, not so good. It's a little dark too, cause I had to shoot it with my camera..

So I set it down on my coffee table, and it came back. I picked it up and it f'd up again. So... I played light triplet’s w/ my fingertips right underneath the external vid connection. This is where the card should be... right..? Well, snap, it's back for now. thumbsup Maybe a loose connection? I don't want to void my warranty by popping the whole lid off. I have some work to do now, but I plan on getting it looked at before the warranty is up.

just wondering - could this be something similar to what happens when you place a monitor/display near un-insulated monitor speakers? that often messes with the display

are laptop LCDs affected by magnetic fields like this?
