Tools Mix Class & Apogee Gear

Wanting to keep my mix class gear Pro Tools rig with 888/24's for now, has anyone had any experience in adding either the Apogee AD8000 and / or Big Ben Clock. Is it a significant improvement? Also interested in rack mounted power conditioning units, any ideas?
Thanks.

Most people will give a huge thumbs up to apogee products, especially the Big Ben, which is grade A.

Hey Bruce. I added the Apogee Big Ben to my Mix +++ to extend it's life. Originally I thought it would benefit an Apogee Rosetta 800 I already owned. However, it makes a marked improvement to even the Digidesign 882/20.

Thanks Karl. I've heard good things about the Big Ben. From memory a student of mine added one to an mBox (!) via spdif I guess.
Had a week in London this year , great place.
Bruce.

I added an AD8K to my Mix+++ rig and I felt it was worthwhile (previously I had a 2-ch Rosetta A/D and an 888|24). Then, it made for a fairly low-cost transition when I went to HD (added the HD Ambus card).
