The Soundtoys native bundle has been an absolute go to for me for years, the plugs are just so good.

I'm absolutely sure that juice isn't going to disappoint, that's why I'm so keen for it to appear!

The long development cycle should tell you something.
Yep - I'm hearing you there - I'm sure it will be great - I rate the ST plugz. Just that I can only allow funds for one desk emulator!

I am SO in agreement about the 64-bit thing....

Let's see....

Yep - me as well - couldn't wait any longer. Happy with VCC - all running very nicely in Logic 64-bit mode 9.1.6.

Would have got Juice instead I reckon, but time was up - mixes to do.....

And meanwhile, STILL no 64-bit from ST?? What exactly are they doing?... communication problems...

Been a near since the Juice was announced if i recall went BETA select in June and not a peep since. Has it been dropped?

No, hasn't been dropped.
The guys at Soundtoys told me at AES that they went back from scratch, got some consoles and started working again...

Now that Waves has announced, I can't imagine they are in a hurry, unless Juice is truly in a near finished state. Because the only thing worse than this long wait would be putting out something inferior.

I actually need my ST plugs in 64 bit more than console emulation

Just got this from Soundtoys. Thought those interested might like to know:

Juice is still in development. The delay has been partly due to our need to own the actual gear that we are modeling. Collecting that gear was not easy money wise or repair wise, but it is in house now. We have the real sounds at our finger tips to reference through the whole process. As we dug in, we've made some adjustments to the idea of the plug-in as well and feel like it will be a stronger product than what we originally revealed. To add to the delay, we've also had to keep up with seemingly non-stop platform changes and other day to day business for a small company, so while it's taken longer than we hoped, it is still coming. While there is still not official ETA on Juice, we hope to have some news in the coming weeks to keep everyone excited.

Great news. Lot of love for Soundtoys, did register for Beta last Spring/Summer and then everything went silent, thought Vapourware.

Still see what happens now VCC and FXG have found their way into the arsenal.

Ah who am I kidding!!!! I will buy more than likely...
Cant buy me love Juice....

I only have Devil-Loc Deluxe from them but it's an amazing compressor (mostly in parallel).

I demoed Decapitator and quickly uninstalled it as it's out of my league at the moment (I plan on getting the full bundle at one moment and no funds for now).

So considering their pedigree and my first hand experience with them I thing this will be a great color to add on top of SatSon (that bus plugin is so off the charts ) and VCC (some of the most interesting things I ever heard in digital).

I have high hopes for Juice and considering the length of the trouble they went through I think they will be surpassed.

These guys just don't make the greatest delay-plugins.
They are also very good at delaying their plug-releases

Seriously, I can't wait until Juice is released.
Seems like the VCC and the new waves NLS has made ST to put a lot of effort into this one.

The Soundtoys guys became masters in the art of adding subtle distortion and color. Just look at the decapitator and the devil-lock. They basically are one EVERY track of my mixes.

Juice WILL be a hit! No doubt about it.

I really hope they just model an entire console, end to end, summing,eq's,comps, input trannys, stereo busses etc. It's 2012 we need this.

If they did that, how could you insert your own choice of vst EQ, Gate, Compressor in the signal path?

With AlexB Nebula programs you get the input section of the console alone leaving you free to add whatever processors you want.

I would personally rather have a solid console emulation with channel strip plugins then have to frankenstein 4 inserts together, risk more aliasing etc.

I have all the alexb ssl libraries and using them as great as they sound, is a major pain to get just 1 channel of SSL eq, compression, and summing.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i think the SSL bundles form waves are their best selling plugins and if i had the capital i would upgrade the crap out of that concept and make a 2.0 version with summing, input transistor emulation, buss channels and a lot of detail to the center section and master compressor.

Imagine Duende or UAD SSL but done end to end with VCC/Nebula/Waves NLS built in. That IMO would be a game changer.

I think that's exactly what Brainworx is going to do with the Neve Custom Series 75. The EQ, compressors and summing from that console all in one plugin!

Did anyone get the latest SoundToys email regarding AES? Could this be a possible hint about juice?

"...While you're there, stop by and see us at booth #619, and find out what we're offering for AES attendees. Is it show specials? Is it news about Radiator? Is it a new product? Is it some exotic new hair color for Mitch? Whatever it is... you should come by and find out..."

I think it's Radiator. It was supposed to be delivered on April. At least this is the date i remember reading when they launched Little Radiator. I think Juice will be next. I'm sure they are working on it, judging by this text: "Using the research and new ideas being developed for the upcoming Juice console emulation plug-in, Little Radiator is SoundToys unique twist on the sound of the classic Altec 1566A tube mic preamp, the “little brother” of the very popular Altec 1567A mixer"
