Sample Tank

Does Sample tank have to be used as a plug in ? or can it be a stand alone program ? I can't find a way for it to make it work by itself, as in just make it come out, not as in finding a way to track with it.

Also does Sample tank come with its own instruments ?

Thanks in advance.

i don't believe sampletank has a standalone feature.

also, it comes with a variety of stock sounds, and more are available via refill packs.

I actually just read something about the new SampleTank 2.1 that was just recently released. Apparently (although i haven't tried it) it can be used as a standalone application as well as a VSTi. To answer the second question, yes, it comes with a huge library of samples (piano, synth, pads, orchestra, strings, voices, brass, woodwinds, etc.). It's great. I use it all the time.
