Pro Tools sessions only playing back from the beginning?

Help me out here, guys. Ever since last time I used pro tools (8.0.3cs1) on my macbook pro, all of my sessions will only play back from the beginning of the session, no matter where I move the cursor to. My first thought was the pre roll got screwed up but that's not it. Is this a bug or am I making some stupid mistake?

Thanks
William

Gear interested

same issue, but am actually able to start the session playing from a mouse click ONLY at the very top, along the minute:second ruler.

clicking anywhere else does not move this point of start.

This sounds like a preference option but I'm not able to find it.

Thanks

bugginess

occasionally I've seen PT do that. usually a quit/relaunch or restart will clear it up. You can try trashing prefs too. I've seen it where seemingly randomly it won't play where I put the cursor but if I highlight an area on the timeline ruler it will play that. hope that helps!
