my set up pc p4 3.2 ht 200 gb 7200 sata hd 1.024 gb ram xp pro completely updated, patched, security updates, etc. sonar 4 updated, patched to very last version kontakt 2 w/ experience, also updated all software original/legitimate owner, no cracks problem I had sonar 4 and kontakt 2 working fine together. produced about 6 tracks, pretty much fine, some zipper noise here and there, but dealable. now i've moved my files to another drive, and no matter what i do, i can't get sonar to open with kontakt any more. i tried re-installing/ registering/ authorizing kontakt, tried moving files around, re-naming them etc. and nothing works. native instrumnets seems to basically be useless. i sent them an e-mail, and they haven't even addressed my fr*gg*n problem. Very frustrated. Any ideas? thanks in advance guys. GS always rules.

Currently have Sonar 4, was just about to install Kontakt 2, so I'm interested, what files did you move?

Hey, Moved sonar files to different drive. Then tried moving them back again - no dice. Someone on the NI forum says it's a bug that will be fixed in the update. But I want to know 1) what's the bug - he didn't eleborate, and 2) can I get my fr*gg*n sequences up again, or have I lost that work Thanks for the response. |

Hey, thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I have the drive partioned into 2 - so I can keep all my program files separate from my audio. (C drive for program files, D for audio, kontakt library, sample collections, etc. Again, thank you guys for responding. I'm wondering, also, if I've saved my instruments as .nki files, kontakt doesn't seem to be saving the effects inserted, and all their settings. Do I have to save the effects individually and separately from the kontakt files? IOW, what files do I have to dave to get my entire kontakt plug in loaded correctly (what parameters, functions and associated files (extensions) and where do I save all these guys in order to: Load Sonar and have everything load correctly in Kontakt. This includes: multis samples instruments instrument effects Again, thanks guys. I'm especially frustrated that my effects sequence and efect parameters were not saved in my instruments (nki) - is there a known issue with this, or am I doing something obviously wrong? Thanks. |
