I d/l'd the free version and it's running, but I couldn't find anything about the pro version. I'm sure that since it's a TTDigital thingy I'm gonna get it.

By making your own samples, it seems to me that I could use it like Waves Q-Clone and "sample" my API 560's and other EQ's...right?

yeup.
my Focusrite Platinum Compounder (w/ Bass Expand) impulses work great in CT Pro.
as do some of the Joe Meek EQ impulses i have.

lots more control than Q-Clone however, LOTS more.

The pro version has way more control, way more impulses, and the ability to load your own impulses. You can drive and color the impulses for a lot more subtle or drastic effects. I can't wait for the release. It completely cured some very 451 ish (too bright) acoustic and hi hat tracks.

no demo yet on the Pro, right?

the free version that i just downloaded seems to have a drive control as well as input and output... which is cool.... also, there's about 10 impulses, which is really great! not that i can really tell the difference between ALL of them..

i wonder how the Fairchild one holds up to my UAD fairchild... just in terms of tone....

oh, and loading your own impulses will be AMAZING... because of *this* website:

http://www.noisevault.com/index.php?...tory&Itemid=29

piles and piles of hardware/pre-amp/etc impulses...

Pro is only for beta testers as far as I know. Trust me, the tonal control is amazingly more than the free version. Though the free is great as well.

I just d/l-ed the free version and the Fairchild seems to thin out this song I'm playing with.... I don't care for that IR, but there's a couple that were cool... Also in SX3, as you turn up the color control there is audible clicking. I couldn't get the plug to work in Logic, gotta love Beta's!

I may on occasion talk about some of the products I am a dealer for in my posts.. and that's OK! I sell them because I like them. Not vice versa. It's more fun to talk about things you know and love, then things you don't.
