Cubase Automation & Recommended Cubase Forum Groups

I am not a Cubase user yet, but I am currently doing some research.

I am coming from a PT LE environment and I am wondering about the automation capabilites of Cubase. I would imagine that they are at least comprable to PT but I would like to hear some feedback.

I am also particularly interested in Plugin automation which is quite easy to execute in PT.

I was also wondering if anyone could recommend a good Cubase forum where you don't have to own the software to join. Thanks

http://forum.cubase.net is definitly a good place to start and get an overall insight. you do not need to register for reading, but if you join / start posting it is a very good idea to fill out the profile details completly, which in turn requires the legal possesion of cubase.

Well, the automation in Cubase is sample accurate - as is the audio editing.

Any plug-in parameter can be automated by simply clicking the 'W' button and then hitting play on the transport.

Inserts and sends can also be automated.

It doesnt get much easier than Cubase actually
