| Toshiba Laptops?? I'm looking at one of these for consulting work that I do, and am wondering if anyone has any thoughts on these machines in terms of build quality, features, etc. The other question is whether anyone has used one of these to build a simple laptop recording solution?? I was thinking perhaps the Steinberg Nuendo Audiolink 96 Mobile and 96 multi-set, Nuendo, and a Motu 192? That would give me 16 channels of I/O and some basic cue mix options. The idea would then be to bring it back to the studio and transfer the raw wav/aiff into Pro Tools and mix (I'm more familiar with PT). Opinions on any of the above would be greatly appreciated. |

Your Steinberg hardware stuff seems like a good idea to me. It's rebranded RME and RME is OK. | |
