Uhhh, the same people that were in charge of Logic back in the Emagic days are still in charge today. Gerhard is there, Markus is there, Dave is there, Clint is there, they're all there.

In fact, Gerhard Lenglling now oversees the entire audio software development department at Apple so if anything, the old Emagic folks control Apple's audio developement rather than the other way around.

I hate car comparisons because I hate cars.

If I had $20K to buy a car or a pre-CBS 60's Telecaster in that rare transparent red, I'd buy the Telecaster

Logic simply doesn't crash on me anymore, since going native - ok, in 6 months it crashed twice, both times when trying to open an OMF made in an Avid session.
i do hope Apple sorts out the OMF thing- it's the only reason i keep PT around, to open others' sessions and OMFs. yes, PT opens OMFs consistently w/ DigiTranslator and yes, for an extra $500.00 that feature damn well better work.
ever since i ditched the Digi gear/drivers, making/editing/mixing music ITB has become fun again. of course PT is solid by itself, but trying to use both on the same box is like living with two teenagers from different, absent moms.
thank goodness for Metric Halo.
