I have a Mac Pro Nehalem quad 2.66, 5gb ram, running DP7.1, and PTLE 8.03 and it is simply AWESOME

I haven't got a single crash or problem what so ever

I am mixing on DP7.1 a near 50 track session 24/48, lots of plugs, around 35 actually, not even a hiccup from the Mac Pro

it has been flawless so far

I just wanted to share this

y'know i was just having a conversation with someone the other day about how we seemed to hit a peak at the end of the 90's for reliability of products, but now just 10 years later almost no brand-name product can be trusted and it's gone back to like the 70's with everything being like crappy 'made in taiwan' useless rubbish

wat i mean is, spending money doesnt mean quality anymore, or rather the ceiling has moved WAY higher - so yes you'll still get great product if being fitted for a matching pair of new Purdy's, but spend 500 quid on a phone or 3.5 grand on a mac and you are gambling like you used to if buying cheap rubbish.

even top end cars are a total gamble nowadays.

i agree with the above post, i have no confidence in apple what so ever and 3k is a huge gamble!
