| Logic 6.1 bombing when saving/loading samples/presets etc etc Heya. I've got a crappy problem with Logic 6.1. Here's the environment: G4 1.25 1 GB RAM default minimum memory allocation/500MB max Plenty of Hard Disk Space RME HDSP9652 using ADAT Song with EXS24 tracks only. Clean/Fresh Logic Install Clean/Fresh OS 9 Install When I press bounce, pick a file name, then click OK, I get the bomb w/ error 10 and a automatic reboot. When I choose "load multiple samples" in the EXS24 editor I get the bomb w/ error 10 and a automatic reboot immediately. When I try to save a plugin or instrument preset, I get the bomb w/ error 10 and a automatic reboot. When I try to save the song, same thing happens. I've tried reinstalling EVERYTHING including Logic and OS 9 and trashing all prefs. It doesn't work. This bomb problem happens EVERY time, consistently. Any suggestions? I even tried copying over all the sequences and plugins and audio objects to a new song. SAME PROBLEM IN THE NEW SONG. NO COMPRENDE! AYIEEE. The fact that it happens in a fresh song makes me think one of the sequence blocks is corrupted? Or a plugin setting? Oh, it also crashes if I disable ASIO and don't load a driver, or if I disable all my VST plugs too! HELP ME OH SLUTZ HELP ME PLEEZ! |

| Mindreader | Does it happen in a totally new song? Have you tried getting rid of plug ins one by one (muting WONT do it) Does it happen on older versions of logic? When did this start happening? Which OS are you running? Are there any other audio extensions that have crept in since your reinstall of the system? |

It started all of a sudden, only on this one song. OS 9.2.2 upgraded and all that shiznit. No new audio extensions. Again the wierdness is that this happens even if ASIO (my audio driver) is disabled, nothing is in the VST plug folder, and there's no samples/sampler instruments in the "Sample Instrument" folder. Thanks for the reply. I know you're the logic freakness n stuff. ![]() | |

| fae, have you solved this problem, yet? if not..... is the exs set to stream-from-disk? have you selectively removed VST plugs from folder before booting Logic? are all connected hard-drives *apple*-formatted w/HFS+? have you tried setting Logic's max ram allocation to a lower number?, & have you looked at how available RAM is divided while Logic is open? when bouncing, is the track set to solo-lock? (and --- have you tried freezing any of the tracks?) are all sync-settings correct? are (some of) the exs samples potentially corrupted? just wondering..... best, dt / spltrcl |

| Hi Splattercell. I tried most of that stuff. I think that a plug in is fuggering stuff up. The problem miraculously went away. It still happens occasionally with the song, but I'm able to work with it now though. It might have to do with the 3 altiverbs I'm running. Joy! Thanks for the support. |

| I was right! The bombing started up again so I rebuilt everything. It kept happening and I finally figured out that it was the Altiverb Cache and Altiverb Prefs in the System Folder. I trashed those and the bombing stopped!!!! YAYYYYYYYYY!!!! Celebration time! ![]() |
