Thread Starter | Not shure but I think Soundplade is for recording 2-track and rudimentary editing. With PreMaster CD you can open audio files, edit and set PQ data. |

| Just looked at their site. They said something about a new site under construction, which is good, because the one they've got now is messed up. I was looking for some info on their DSD system recently and it's not there. Nothing about Sonic HD either. I thought they may have discontinued both. Anyway, this looks like a cool app for under $800. It writes a DDP 2 file (or disc image), which is nice for "entry level". I think I'll be buying this. |

| I've been using Sonic Studio DDP for some time now. Great Application and probably (IMHO ) the best of its kind for OSX. I love working with it ! Sonic have been heavily touched by 'Rita' which is causing the delay in business and the Website (still waiting for my new dongle...:-(, but i do understand...) As far as i've understood Soundblade was going to be the CDR only Version of Sonic Studio DDP whereas PMCD will probably lack a few features such as opening DDP Images and the declicking option. You should definetely keep an eye on it if you're serious about assembling CD Masters. The Declicking Option is worthwhile as well and very useful-not every day, but in moments when you need it you'll apreciate it...(and you'll understand why this one is still a reference for declicking). |

| Just heard from them. Soundblade has the ability to record and support their own hardware (i guess it will be versions of the Metric Halo boxes in some but not all of the cases. We'll have to wait until next year for Soundblade.
