What's up with DUY demos??

i have tried to download demos from DUY from MONTHS now...they e-mail me a message that they will be sending me ANOTHER e-mail to give me the download URL 'soon' but it never arrives. i wanna try these plug's cuz i've heard some good things but this is really frustrating. and yes, i have e-mailed them about this. guess what? no reply...

anybody had the same experience or is this just happening to me???

They don't seem too responsive, and the demo thing is annoying. I would suggest contacting a dealer and see if they can help you.

I'm guessing DUY is like the Hydratone guys. There's only one or two of them. And apparently they never check their email. Or they just don't give a shit. I have no idea, but it's rather disturbing. Why don't they just go away if they're not going to even bother responding to their customers.

well, that may be but the hydratone guys at least have a forum on their site and they seem to actually respond to people's questions within that forum...

the weird thing about DUY and the reason i was reminded of my frustrations dealing with them is that the new issue of sound on sound had a little blurb about their new eq plug...but it's TDM only, so maybe if you ask for RTAS demo's, they really don't give a crap about you?

True. At least the Hydratone guys have a forum where they can tell you that 'X' plugin is coming out soon. And then a little later........ and then........

And wait a little more please.........................

I thought DUY was taken over by Digi???

Anyway, I tried to order a couple of their bundles for a client about a year ago and couldn't get any response from them...

I may on occasion talk about some of the products I am a dealer for in my posts.. and that's OK! I sell them because I like them. Not vice versa. It's more fun to talk about things you know and love, then things you don't.

hmm, i hadn't heard anything about digi buying DUY but at this point i wish SOMEBODY would!

like i said at the beginning of this thread, the really weird/frustrating part is that they just had a new product come out! there's a small article about it in the latest sound on sound! so, it's clearly not like they are out of buisness or something!

maybe they're ignoring the u.s. market for some reason??

i do take small comfort in knowing it's not been just me who has been ignored by them, though

Yeah, same here. I've tried many times to contact someone there.

Besides, the name of the company is the same thing we used to say in grade school if someone said something really, really dumb.

Hey guys,

Tried the DUY plugs a couple of weeks ago and had no problem getting the email and downloading the plugs.
They are pretty cool, but I'm not going to buy. I like the Valve but don't like all of them enough to buy the package. Wish they came individually.

The only comparison I was making is that they are both apparently one or two man operations.

yeah, them seem much more responsive but their hydratone KILLS my G4 when i tried to use it. i have 1.2 MB of RAM so i thought i had enough but i think my processor must be the problem...

i just wish they could make it a *little* less of a computer hog...

ok, well i tried again based on your message and still nothing.

so, i am wondering is it becasue i asked for RTAS? or that i asked from the OSX versions?

please tell us what versions of the demos you requested...i'm thinking it might have something to do with that...

fuuck DUY again!
i figured as much...i could tell they were moving to TDM only cuz i believe their last two new plugs have been TDM only...

so, this of course begs the question; why the f*** have RTAS and AU versions in the first place if you not gonna f****n' let people demo them...

man, if anyone can actually get a response from them, please tell them that me and whole bunch o' other people said fuuck
