WISH: Apogee Quartet!!!

Would be cool --- 4in 4out, Ensemble convertors, 2 mic pres. $999.00 FW, half rack space, Ensemble styling.
Maybe they will read this before Winter NAMM.

PS: This is purely a product of my imagination, not a rumour, not a product announcement.

I used to own a Duet, and I miss the hell out of it, but I wanted to use board gear. If you double the Duet and add lightpipe I'd spend a grand without thinking about it.

I agree that a 4 IN/4 Out setup would be welcome

The problem is that most A/D and D/A chips either come in 1, 2, or 8 channels.

Combining two 2 channel units to get four (e.g., two Duets) is much harder than it seems. What you would really need is a chip that combined 4 A/Ds and 4 D/As, and I don't think there is one.
