I am considering purchasing a dedicated computer to run my virtual synths, and what I am envisioning is a touch-screen PC to run my Virtual synths in real-time live applications. Specifically, I am using the V Collection from Arturia, along with G Force M-Tron, Minimonsta, Oddity, and impOSCar (yes, the virtual synths are acting as a "vintage" selection in my rig!) Before anyone says anything, don't flame me for using PC instead of Mac. I LIKE using PCs and prefer building my own stations rather than buying a pre-fab machine for top-dollar. As for the computer, I'm looking into the HP Touch Pro computers, however, there are touch screen monitors that interface with the PS2 port that might have less compatibility issues...which is actually my question. Does anyone know if these applications would have a problem running in a touch screen environment? Granted, W7 has built-in touch screen support and these apps may not yet be compatible with W7, which is another thing to consider. If anyone has any input as to how I can make this a completely bad-ass setup, I'd appreciate the input. Thanks! |
