Importing audio cd's

Hey,
I often need to import audio tracks from cd and then import them into a PT session.
I usually import audio tracks from CD's using wavelab without problem.

However on my new pc the imported audio files sound 'all messed up' (that's a technical term...).
I tried importing them using Cubase and get the same result.

On the old pc i could choose the 'import speed' (from 600k/s to 8M/s) and slower was usually better. But on the new pc the only two options are either 0k/s or 8M/s (which would be too fast).

Does anyone know how to configure the CD Rom to show more options for audio-import speeds?

Thanks!

SG

Try going into the "control panel-administrative tools-services" and disable the IMAPI CD Burning
