Seattle. This plugin is a mystery to me as well. Although I have my list of usual suspects...

Hopefully yes, but this is certainly not a TC product.

I have been using a pretty comprehensive set of impulses in Altiverb for a long time
There is some great impulses on Waves IR-1 and Acousticas as great IR library as well

Like I said, there are some exceptions. Eurovision is a little missleading name to the contest because countries inside the European Broadcasting Area and members of EBU are aloud to take part, but not all of the countries actually are geographically in what's considered to be Europe. The boundaries of the European Broadcasting Area have their origin in the regions served and linked by telegraphy cables in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
You can't really say Israel is an European country even if it takes part in some European activities. And my point was not to mix EU and Europe as the same. But the European "borders" are a pretty blurry concept.

Why would he do that and make a direct competitor to X-Verb? Maybe though, 1 is native, 1 is not.

TC is Denmark-based. That was a thread about a TC reverb.

so if its not developed by lexicon themselfes...why would anyone get excited?
i dont want to spoil the fun but any company can programm a reverb plugin and make it look like a 480. so as long as this thing doesnt use the original alogarithms (and im sure it doesn't) its just marketing cr*p. id rater go for the lexicon native bundle instead.

People are excited because Casey from Bricasti says he really likes it and that it "nails" the 480 sound. People tend to value his opinion, for some reason . As for "not the original algorithms", of course, and you can keep dreaming of there ever being "original" versions of those algorithms outside the 480 itself. Porting that code would most probably require a million changes whether it's done by Lexicon itself or not.

that kind of makes sense - given that X-Verb allegedly sounds very similar to a Lex 480...

If you coded a great reverb for a big manufacturer - got all that knowledge - why not release it as your own in a different guise? (providing there was no issue with contracts etc)...

Thats been true in the past for example with BReverb - however not many reverbs get the seal of approval from Bricasti head honcho...

Give a hint, is it by a known company at all, or by a new company (and possibly programmed by a well known reverb guru)?

Just to make this melee more insane...
