PowerMac output to Digi 96's input via lightpipe?

Hi ALL,

I have a question here about using the lightpipe.

I have a PowerMac G5 which has the lightpipe output at the back panel.
Can i just patch a lightpipe from the mac output to the DIGI 96 lightpipe input?
and then can i record the audio which is playing on the itune to the protools with stereo?

what's the setting? HOW?
