| Gear nut | upgrading from HD1 to HD2 So this may be a stupid question, but what all is involved with upgrading my current HD1 setup to an HD2 system? Saw a couple cards on the classifieds area that i would like to snag and wanted to know the process. Thanks a ton and forgive my ignorance. Teel Merrick

| I'm pretty sure all that is involved is plugging in an accel card :D |

| Yeah, the connector cable between the 2 is somewhat fragile and must be done in the proper order. Its backwards mac/pc. If the card doesn't come with one you'll have to buy it. Also make sure your computer power supply can handle the extra load. If you have a 750w power supply you're totally fine. 350w, probably not, but i haven't done the math on this. Also depends on other vid. cards, how many hard drives, etc. Also make sure you have room in your case and obviously room on the mobo. |
