Logic pro channel strip settings

Hey guys, I have been using logic pro 7 for long time and yesterday I installed a copy on Logic pro 8 just to see whats all about and after installing all my channel strip setting on logic 7 are gone (you know, when you click the little arrow next to inserts) and on the plugins I have all the logic 8 settings. Is there any way to have both? How can I get the settings from the original cd of logic 7 without have to install everyting again?

thanks guys

Did you look into the folder where strips are kept? Not sure at all but maybe the folder moved in logic 8.

Typically plugin and ch strip are stored: user -> library -> application support -> Logic

as well as: system drive -> library -> application support -> Logic

I guess you could also look at the package contents on the logic 7 install disc and search for the strip settings and copy them into the folder.

Why logic 8, and not Logic 9?

user -> library -> application support -> Logic

when I go here I have the aux, bus, instrum, output and track folders all empty, so I think this is what's missing?

as well as: system drive -> library -> application support -> Logic

in here on channel strip settings I have only instrument --->04 keyboard and track----> 06 voice

Logic 8 had screwed my logic 7 settings. Can I get this settings for user -> library -> application support -> Logic from the logic pro 7 cd?

thanks for the help

edit: I just copied the settings from my laptop and now I have both!! thanks anyways

Maybe this isn't of any help but I remember Logic 8 cleaned out old settings, putting them into the folder "previous logic settings".

system drive -> library -> application support ->previous logic settings
