Waves web site states a new feature for Waves 7 is working in Windows 7, so I would assume it would be best to update to Waves 7. If you go that way and your WUP expired, I would recommend paying for the WUP update, and then use the credit Waves gives you (the cost to update your WUP) and apply it to a new Waves bundle that may interest you.

Well then get ready to throw away all the money you put into Waves. I don't want to get into the whole WUP debate as it gets pretty nasty here, but thankfully Waves has improved the setup with it. There is always a bundle or two of Waves plug in's I would not mind having. So upgrading a WUP and then to use that money (your credit) towards another bundle is not too painful for me, but hey do what you want.
