I'm about to embark on a multi-faceted upgrade to my system and DAW. I'm running a MBP with pro tools M-powered 7 on Tiger. I'm wanting to switch over the Cubase 5, but will need to upgrade my OS as it will apparently not run on tiger. This leads me to a chain of needed actions - I'll need to manually consolidate all of the tracks in my PT sessions that I'm working on, as once I move to up to the new OS, PT7 will reportedly not work. THis will likely take until the end of time (30 + tracks on several sessions). Anyway, once I do bump up to snow leopard, how is Cubase 5 running since it's not "officially" supported. I also have an M-audio project mix I'm hoping will behave as well as all my plug-ins. Any general thoughts on how to make this easier are welcome - I'm a bit dense at times. |
