Euphonix MC Control/Mix

I see these run via ethernet. If you run more than one, do they daisy chain or are they on their own channels on a router?

They only have one ethernet port - so you cannot daisy chain them.

Cool, so a multiple channel router is needed.

Is it easy to get them all on the same page? What configuration is needed ahead of time to make it all work?

There's a control panel called EuControl which makes it simple to organize multiple devices.

Cool, so in EuControl, once a Euphonix device is plugged into your router, it is recognized in the software. Gotcha. Thanks.

The Euphonix Artist series controllers have been excellent in application at the MEth Lab. I like how the MC Control keeps me further away from the keyboard/mouse/screen in a session, so I can stay in the mix position, and run the deck [Logic] with ease and comfort. I program my chosen soft key assignments, make my fader layout for the surface and I'm rolling!! EUCON is the protocol and software program that runs in the background, and that is where you can edit all the assignable parameters for the soft keys, etc..EUCON is the same technology used in their large format tactile controllers. With the MC Control/Mix, you can designate fader layouts and save them as templates, or let the workflow dictate where you are in the session. EUCON lets you configure these things in very cools ways, which I have found to be useful. It is a rather effortless way to work the recorder. I heavily rely on switching zoom and shuttle modes, on the MC Control, when the focus is on my work, and not the work I am doing.
