Top virtual synths and samplers

I see many people selling off all of their software synths and samplers and getting them is software ...... what are the must have ones if you get rid of all your hardware synths .

I guess that depends on what hardware you're replacing, doesn't it?

There's too many excellent softsynths to say that any of them are "must haves" unless you're doing a specific genre of music, but here's a list of some that are generally considered top-notch:

Native Instruments FM7, Absynth and Kontakt
Arturia Minimoog V
AAS Lounge Lizard
Gmedia M-tron and Oddity
Propellerheads Reason
Linplug Albino

There's plenty of other good stuff, those are just some that come to mind as pretty universally liked and also covering a very wide palette of synthesis types.

Dear Oberheim fan!

The sonicprojects team announces the remake of the Oberheim OB-X. There's a feature never seen before in any other virtual device: slight individual detune of filters, oscillators and envelopes for every voice individually - like the real device

a real ob-x rev.2 itself was used for endless comparisons and tunes to copy the original behaviour - the result is extraordinary

I'm a big fan of Linplug Albino and Filterscape.

Spectrasonic Trilogy for bass (can't beat it)

reFX Vanguard for synth

However, I couldn't live without my Virus, Nord Rack 2 and Juno-106.
