Macbook Pro loose firewire 800 port

So I recently bought a MBP which I connect to my MOTU Ultralite via a firewire 800 to 400 cable. The problem is that the 800 end of the cable doesn't click into the laptop securely. There is no click or join or any indication that the lead is connected at all, it just slides in and out. Consequently the lead works it's way loose with minimal movement. Anyone else having this problem?

No problem with MBP 13". Try a new cable.

This Kind of happened to me with my MBP and the headphone jack. My headphones kept coming loose and then i went to the store and had the logic board replaced. Than it happened again so i went back and they wanted to replace the logic board again but we decided to try the top casing instead. That tightened up the jack. The casing was twisted just a bit so it kept putting stress on the jack to the point where it eventually broke.

Go to an apple store and talk with the Genius there. see what they say. but sugget it also being the top case as well.
