I also prefer my old Lexicon 300 over the PCM Native Reverb Bundle.
For large halls and rooms I use the plugin very often, but for short rooms and ambiences I love the sound of my Lex 300 more. It is more dense and 3D.

I have a problem with the PCM Bundle: I installed both 32-bit and 64-bit versions as I use hosts in both varieties. The 32-bit plugins work fine without issues, but on launch the 64-bit plugins keep throwing up a popup about not finding a graphics file and then the GUI shows up mostly black and unusable. I installed the 64-bit version last and the registry entry points to the correct 64-bit VST install folder.
I wrote Lexicon support late last week and I'm waiting for an answer. Does anyone here have a clue why this is happening? TIA!
***UPDATE: SOLVED! Support got back to me: it turns out there's an extra quote (") character at the end of the path that shouldn't be there. Editing the registry entry and removing the quote fixes the problem (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lexicon\PCMNative ; key = InstallPath). I'm leaving this post here for anyone having this problem in the future.

Are there any 3rd party presets available for the Native PCM that improve upon the factory presets?

Each preset has over 30 editable functions.

Each preset has over 30 editable functions. | I've had some attempts at it myself already but don't really know enough yet. From what I've read on the boards some folks say the factory presets are not the best so I was just hoping to get better out of it if possible. Maybe one of the tutorial companies could produce a tutorial on programming reverbs if there isn't one already.

| Hardware Still Better
I'm a fan of Lexicon reverb and have just finished a two-hour test of PCM Native in Pro Tools 10. It sounded pretty good, but I have to agree with those who prefer the sound of the high-end hardware. I owned the 960L for 3 years, and I don't find the software to be nearly as deep/smooth/complex. I got the wow factor with the 960, but not the plugs. The Halls may be close to how I remember the PCM91 sounding, but I was hoping for better. I hear too many clanging resonances, and lack of density. I doubt I'll ever go back to hardware due to the cost, limitations, and inconveniences, so I may buy the software and hope they'll keep improving the algorithms. I currently use Sonnox, Waves, Altiverb, and have tried Eastwest Spaces and whoever's Aether, which do sound nice and smooth but again, not really impressive. I like the Acousticas Bricasti M7 IRs, fwiw.

I've got a lovely PCM-96 for sale, and an incredible set of presets I've created.

I like the Acousticas Bricasti M7 IRs, fwiw. | In all fairness it is not reasonable to try & compare the 960L hardware with the PCM96 software plugins - this bundle is not based on the 960 but the 96 and the 2 are very different devices.
If deep/smooth/complex is what you are looking for, have you tried ReLab's LX480? That is one seriously great sounding reverb that has nailed the sound of the original hardware beautifully. The UAD 224XL is also another top plug, and although I have been accused of being a gear junkie who does not need 3 Lexicon plugs, I would argue that all 3 of these sound so very, very different it is worthwhile.
Sonnox Reverb I do not know so cannot comment, Waves are good too (I prefer RVerb to TrueVerb) - and I am stuck on AltiVerb 6 XL as we are almost 2 years into AV7 and still no PC version in sight.
