Thread Starter | Line 6 Podfarm mic-pre modelling - any good?
Can anyone give me their two cents in regards to Line 6's Podfarm mic-pre modelling in comparison to Wave's Studio Classics alternative? I really like the Podfarm's Neve and API modelling - so much so I use them on pretty much everything. Their SSL cloning is good too - a great EQ. But maybe Waves has all this tone and then some? The L6 Gearbox/Podfarm algorythms are getting pretty old by software standards, so i'm wondering if Waves maybe has a bit more of the 'x' factor of goodness.... just wondering. Can anyone offer me an A/B between Podfarm's modelling and the Waves SC equivilent? Please, opinions have little validity in this topic if you can't offer me an A vs B comparison. So if you've tried one and not the other, it's not helping me in my decision. And in pre-emption, I know nothing sounds like the real thing, but I also really don't care. Let that argument stop there. |
