You know, it kills me that the expectations are so high for this plug. I hate that, and it's always impossible to live up to. Think Obama.

And we haven't really tried to hype this. Really. Just tired of going to AES shows and having to answer the 'so, what's new' question with blank stares and Decapitator has been so close to done for a while.

So, we finally did post the public beta, just now. Go to SoundToys - Happy Holidays! if you wanna check it out.

It's RTAS, VST, and AU. TDM will be there on release, and is working but needs some beating before it's good to go. Just got to get my lazy ass to finish the damn thing.

Maybe we should run a contest. First one to guess all five correctly gets a free plug-in?

Nice plug. Definite purchase when available. Love the wet/dry control BUT... an output control would be perfect.

Not that big of a deal. You can stick a trim or other plug after it for output volume control.

SHIT - BIG Error after installing Decapitator Beta

Yes, just installed decapitator runnung logic 9.

so Decapitator installed fine and runing, but now every time a load any other of the soundtoys native bundle i get the same error message pop up window, and have to click it around a dozen or so times before the GUI pops up in place.
So i uninstalled Decapitator, binned the component, and all the restarts, and i still get the same error message every time i start or select the effect!

Hey Mitch - you know what this might be??? its driving me nuts... i need to use echoboy boy boy.....

BEWARE! This plug-in crashes Digital Performer 7 w/ Snow Leopard!

You get a

"wmSetParameter:numEntries() Error, hierarchical sets not supported"

and then it crashes the system! Every time!

I'm going to de-install the component and hope it restores my system.

SCARY.

I unfortunately am having the same issue. EchoBoy shows that exact error pop-up 6 times, then the plug-in seems to run fine. FilterFreak2 however, crashes Logic every time I try it. At the moment I cannot open an existing session that has instantiations of EB and FF2. Very bad news

I deleted the Decapitator component and the issue continues to occur. I am not sure what else I can do...

Trashing which prefs? Logic Prefs? I don't want to lose all of my Logic settings, layouts, etc. I could not find preference files for SoundToys, and I REALLY can not afford to lose plug-in settings and user presets for Echo Boy, Tremolator and FilterFreak2.

I can no longer turn on DP! I feel so foolish for installing this in the middle of a soundtrack project with a deadline looming Wednesday.

I am an idiot.

EVERYBODY: DO NOT INSTALL THIS PLUG-IN. IT HAS A TERRIBLE BUG. TRUST ME.

Deinstall all Soundtoys with the "Remove Soundtoys" Application, and reinstall the Bundle.
And it works as before... oufff !

No, this does not fix it. It indeed removes all SoundToys plugins including Decapitator, but upon reinstalling the native bundle, the same errors/crashes occur.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Oh no! I'm downloading now.

What's the answer, I wonder? I hope Soundtoys sees this thread.
