A Couple Pro Tools Questions

i don't want to start a logic vs pro tools thing, i only really want a couple comparisons answered. i've been using logic 9, its great but damn its been crashing like crazy lately. i've been thinking of switching over to pro tools anyway and the way logic is acting its making my decision easier. now for my questions

how is pro tools stability wise? i feel like i'm not even pushing logic that hard and the cpu spikes are crazy. and how does pro tools act with reason rewired into it? logic is pretty glitchy with rewire. my reason tracks get all f'd up if i make any edits in logic, and sequencing in reason while its rewired is also funky.

ya, i haven't noticed any differences, if anything its crashing more. my mac's not a monster, but its decent. 2.4ghz macbook with 4gb ram 320gb hd 7200. i think it should be able to handle what i'm throwing at it. i could probably bounce my reason stuff into logic to lessen the load a bit, but i'd rather keep it midi.

SnowLeo or Leopard ?

I think the problem is Rewire because I use Logic 9 and Protools on my MacPro and have no Problems with crashing etc . . .

I run PT thru an Mbox and have very few crashes while running a session. Do see the occasional CPU spike, but that has calmed down a great deal since I upgraded to the new MB Pro.

I see a lot of kernel panics AFTER a session. I haven't yet upgraded to 8.1, so it may be that some of those will calm down now, but there are definitely core issues with MB Pro's and Mbox 2's.

I never had any issues with ReWire running through PT, but I am not a very intensive user.

Best of luck!
