Apple 30inch/23inch Monitor issues

Apple 30inch/23inch Monitor issues..

I have both monitors hooked up and up until now no problems...
The 30inch display seems to have stopped working - only thing i have changed is the DVI cable - its a longer one (gefen too!).... but the cable was fine before when used on another computer :o
Any idea why this is happening?
30inch monitor is fine on another mac without that cable, with it, it don't seem to power properly - any thoughts?

Apple monitors are touchy -- some brands don't work and perhaps it's the dvi pin layout or something. Try some others and see...

30 inch will absolutely require a dual link cable, although I think the connector on the monitor only accepts dual link anyway. Try a different cable first though...
