Need Some advice/opinions or anything else THX!

Hey everyone im new here and this is my first post. We (as in my brothers/friends and I) have been buying a bunch or recording equipment recently and we're still buying more . First off ill give you a list of what we got
Interface: delta 1010 to PC
mixer: Mackie 1642-VLZ PRO Mixer
Mics: Shure PG set, AKG C430(pair), D112, Rode NT-1000, M-audio Luna.
outboard gear: SMPro Audio SM TB 202 Twin Channel Tube Mic Preamp, DBX 266xl compressor.

I have alot of learning to do but i want some feedback from people with experience
First off i think im going to sell the PG set, the only thing i need from it not are the PG56 tom/snare mics, but i think im going to buy some SM57s soon.
Will Sm57's sound alot better than the PG56's?

Also we want to try and get and nice preamp, we all decided just to go all out and buy a high dollar one. The one we were looking at was the Focusrite Red 1 quad preamp. Would this make a big difference for a delta 1010 interface recording? Or is the Red1 not even compatible with it?

One last question(sorry) We need more recording channels but we dont want to have to buy another delta 1010, so we were looking at the delta 44, making a total of 14 channels. But the thing on our minds was does the delta 1010 have a better sound quality over the 44? or does the delta 44 have the same sound just half the size? Well any feedback about Mics/Preamps/compressor/interface is much appreciated, even if harsh just let me know because i'm very very curious about recording.
