Cubase 5 hardware software synth latency problem help please

I am working on a track using a DSI Mopho hardware synth along with some soft synths in Cubase 5.

I have duplicated some of the midi events from the soft synth tracks for a new midi track, which triggers the Mopho and records to an audio track.

The problem is that there is a delay when listening to the Mopho through the audio track?

I know about latency but thought that the delay compensation would sort this.

Can anybody help please?

Thanks

Automatic Delay compensation is for plugins. Plugins declare their latency to the host (or at least SHOULD do).

External effects and instruments - read pages 20-26 in the Cubase 5 manual and it tells you how to set this up.
