@andyselby just installed the AmpGui 2. While the general look of logic 8 has been fine your meters ROCK! I hated not having markings in each meter. I guess at some point I'll make a version of the Orange meters to suit my needs but for the upcoming projects I will be using your layout exclusively for my work. Good work man I look forward to any updates you make.

out of interest, is it possible to make it so that when you double click the 'EQ' bit at the top of the channel, a different plugin comes up than the logic one?

A bit late to this party but some of these mods I've seen look great!
My question is, if I download a few different ones (and thank you to all who made this possible and for sharing), can I pick and choose which one I prefer easily? They all look great but I'd like to see them in full view in Logic itself first and then decide on one.
So once I put them all in the appropriate folder, where in Logic do I select with skin I prefer? Thanks and sorry if it seems like an elemental question.

^^^^^^^^ back in the first page "Tony" posted this.....
-----
I've posted these before on here, but if any one wants these GUI mods fell free to download them, they are totally clean and virus free.

Just click once on the Logic icon in your applications folder (for those that don't know how to do this) go to file/ show package contents, double click your Resources folder and just drop them in, you may want to back up your resources folder if you don't like the mods.
-------------
Take his advice and back up your Resource folder....

I think I'm doing something wrong with the installation yet it seems so simple.
I downloaded the ampguiV2 and followed the instructions.

I clicked on my Logic icon in the application folder, did a "apple+D", it made a copy (although the copy is about 148MB whereas the original is 745MB...?), I renamed it "Logic 9 ampGUI", got to it's resources folder, made a backup of it to another drive, trashed what's in the folder and replaced with all the files from the download (it did say 'put these in the resources folder, replacing what's there)

Now this newer Logic has a strange icon (sheet with ruler) and won't open when I double-click. What did I do wrong?

edit: maybe I was just supposed to copy them and not touch what was there, these files would just override the original ones?

Right click on the meter legend at the left side of your mixer to switch to that mode.
Thanx. My meters went grey too. Thanx for the solution

Don´t TRASH anything from the folder, it´s needed to run Logic. Just drop the aditional AMPGUI files into the folder and replace the doubles with them.

Mod Requests (possible)?

Is there a mod that would make the actual region chunks in the arrange window look more 3D? (sort of beveled out like a bevel button or bar).
The stock LP9.1 region chunks are just light shaded & it would look cool to have these look like chunks in 3D.

Also, is there a mod to have (with-in the regions) of the arrange window display those mini eight notes (like Logic 7 & previous had) as opposed to straight lines? I found that visually seeing individual mini-notes ( in the region chunks ) to be more intuitive, than straight lines.

I remember this thread, you guys are great!

Thanks for sharing these, they are just what I want!

BTW, can anyone answer this question? How does linear vs. exponential metering work with these? I mean, doesn't the values change? So would that mean these meters are made to work with just one (exponential / linear) preference, or does it handle both?

Thanks!

Just put together a bunch of icons to replace the ugly ones I never use. Warning... If you drop these in your Resource/Images/icons folder they will replace the ones already in there. Might be a good idea to make a back up copy of the originals first.

You can view them and drag in the ones you like, or renumber them to unused numbers. ...or just dump em all in.

Maybe someone will take some time to reorder them properly.

I just got tired of using the same 10 I always use.

Enjoy, let me know what you think.

It's not dead. It just gets updated once a year You should post a pick to see if people will like how your mod looks.
