Headphone outs on Profire 2626

Just plugged in my new 2626 and all going well so far, except I can't get anything from either of the two headphone outputs. If I crank the level of the first headphone out up full, I can hear a vague sound in the distance that may resemble music in some form but I can't be sure. The two headphone outs appear to be set to Mixer Out (1st) and Software Return 3/4 (2nd) in the control panel. Monitors are out of Outs 1/2.

Can anyone with the 2626 shed some light that might help the situation? Hopefully there's a setting I've missed. Or maybe I've got two dud outs (ow)..

Software 1&2 are usually the main stereo output of most programs, set the level in the DSP Mixer and then set the headphone output (1&2) to Mixer Out and then make the Master Volume Knob not effect 1&2, or do it the other way around, software 1&2 to output/headphone 1 and then Mixer Out into #&4/headphone 2.

It all works quite well for me, make sure you have the sample rate set correctly and the input order correct.

+1..when you are done I would name SW 1&2 ,Head phones 1 &2, it can get confusing cuz the mixer never changes..I also UN-check everything in the Settings "Master volume knob" except 7-8..I use 7-b strait to my power amp for my monitors..that way the master volume knob on the front only controls my monitors! It took me a while to get used to that mixer..I kinda wish it was not there, I can do it easier in PT

Excellent, thanks guys. I moved my monitors to 7 & 8, unchecked 1 & 2 in the "Master volume knob" setting and now I've got phones.

Not particularly intuitive, but I got there in the. Thanks again
