If I am not going to use the graphical side of auto tune evo, is there any point in upgrading? Does it target notes better or function smoother? Also, will evo take adopt my autotune 5 settings?

It does seem to target notes better. If u are tying to use it realtime u may run into some problems its runs around 1000delay samples. as far as Autoune 5 i believe they can run side by side and i think the reason for this is Evo does not open in place of Autotune 5. If u have a session with AT5 and were to delete that plug EVO will not open in its place like the upgrade from AT4- AT5 would. As far as sound to me Evo sounds different u may like u may not download the demo and take 'er for a spin.

For me, EVO definitely is much more better improvement from AT5, it works much more better, faster and for more dramatic pitch changes You can not to hear defects of vocal. Also second big improvement is Transpose in Formant mode. It is better than many pitch shifting plugins at all. Bad point is,that EVO do not recognize AT5 settings and plugin generally, and if You work with projects created on AT5 , You must manually to set the same thing for EVO. |

I am digging it and the latency has a kind of modern urban swag to it. Hows that for looking at latency as a positive!! Definitely sounds better and responds better then autotune 5. The sound of evo is more open in the highs where at5 sounds stuffy when compared back to back. Prretty sweet that they brought back the "choosy" control to the front. I'm happy.

| Delay compensation and pt le 8
Hi Anyone using pt le 8 adn AT Evo? I read about this: Auto-Tune Evo RTAS, AU and VST all contain pitch shifting, formant correction, and throat modeling functions which require a delay of approximately 1380 samples. the Auto-Tune Evo TDM format does not contain these features and allows for a lower overall processing latency. The Auto-Tune Evo TDM introduces approximately 32 ms of delay. Auto-Tune 5 RTAS does not require a processing delay. Consequently, if for some reason you want to monitor the processed output in real time during performance, Auto-Tune 5 is the one to use. Recent versions of Pro Tools LE does not contain automated delay compensation so, any audio that is processed through a plug-in must be shifted to the left in the session timeline to ensure that it remains in sync with the other audio in the session. This can be done manually by dragging the audio data to the left or it can be accomplished with a time adjustment software plug-in that compensates for the inherent latency. Additionally, the offline Audiosuite processing mode of Pro Tools LE does compensate for the latency in Auto-Tune Evo so, it should not be necessary to compensate for the delay when using the Auto-Tune Evo from the offline Audiosuite processing menu. Does anyone know how actually you do it? I use M Box pro 2 and a nice mac. thank you |
