Question for people using Duet and condensers

I have been pretty sure that I am getting a Duet but I read this thread:

CAD M179 Noise

Seems the Duet can't handle this condenser. Does anyone know how much of a problem this is with the Duet? Are you using other condensers fine? Would other interfaces have this problem?

I never heard of this problem before.

I use a condenser, its one of those XML 69me pieces of chit, but it works pretty well for what it is.

I haven't had any crazy chit happening????

I use my Duet with AKG 414 XLII condenser microphones with no problem, I will also add that I think the Duet is a great unit, and it compares favorably with my high end converters and pre amps.

never heard that

I have used the holy sh*t out of my Duet and not one problem.

I have at4040, superlux ch8c, c 414, ev cardinal, c 3000, ksm 44, tlm 103,

never an issue with any of those condensers.

What I really like about it is that I can set it to instrument or mic line in, that was the selling point for me, I can run my api and neve pres through it.

It also works great with my zoom h4 and emu 0404 usb as an aggregate device giving me more ins and outs.

Cannot speak for anything else (plugged into the Duet, that is).
