APC40 vs. KP3 with Ableton

I purchased Ableton Live 8 yesterday and am looking for the perfect controller to use during live gigs. Now, I have read some stuff about the APC40 and seen it in a few magazenes and am pretty intrigued. It seems to basically do exactly what I want, but has anyone here had experience with the kp3 and ableton? I'm asking because I can get a kp3 for cheap and am wondering if it has the capabilities to function like the APC40 does as a midi controller, giving me access to trigger individual tracks in Live in real time. Any advice? KP3 or APC40?

KP3 is an FX processor that might have some MIDI controller capabilities. APC40 is a full-featured MIDI controller that is designed specifically to work with live, and which gives you an amazing amount of control over Live with no extra programming required.

It's like comparing a car and a snowmobile: Each one is designed for a specific purpose, and though they can be made to do a few similar things under the right circumstances, there's really no comparison.
