Thread Starter | Change system drive to SSD - Logic doesn't recognize plugins when loading songs
Just swapped out my system drive for the Intel X-25m 160 gig hd. Now when loading a song or template file in Logic, Logic says my Omnisphere, RMX, and Vintage Keyboard EFX plugins can't be found. They show up in the plugin list so I can reinitiate them without a problem. But, every song I've created using these plugins will not play correctly. I have to reload the plug, and then call up the patch I had used in the song. If I didn't save the patch, the sound is lost. I used carbon copy cloner to clone my original system drive and used the block level copy option which executed without error. Is there something else I can do now, or should have done to alleviate this issue? If there is a workaround for this, I'll gladly reclone my original system drive if need be. Thanks! |

Ohh, you can´t run Omnsiphere on SSD discs ! It loads too fast and your songs will play at double tempo!

OP: this is very bizarre. Did you figure out why this happened?

I've posted here, Macrumors, and the Apple Support Group. No one has had a meaningful response nor a suggestion for a workaround. If anyone can shed some insight into this, I'd greatly appreciate it. I can't imagine that others haven't had a similar problem when upgrading their system drive unless I've done something wrong. If I can't find a workaround, I'm not particularly excited about rebooting with the old drive and then going through every song to save patches of the sounds used with these plugins so that I can switch back to the SSD, reload the plugins, call up the saved patches, and save the songs. ***and nice signature. | |
