Hi everyone, I have recently got myself a copy of Cubase SX3, a Tascam US-144 I/O interface and have been trying to get my Roland V-Synth to record a MIDI part in Cubase. However, when I plug in the V-Synth to the 'Midi In' on the Tascam box, the red 'Midi In' indicator light flashes on and off consistantly about twice a second. When I press keys on the V-Synth, this also lights up the Midi In indicator on the Tascam as well but Cubase does not appear to be receiving any incoming MIDI signla. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? Thanks alot for any help! Chris |

I'm not sure on the input not hitting Cubase (sounds like you may need to configure your devices there and switch them from whatever the default input might be if you haven't already). I think my MKB Roland controller does that same thing with the constant messages. From what I remember, their gear was famous for that. It's not a flaw, just some sort of constant realtime thing they send out. Depending on what you've connected it to, you may be able to filter it out somewhere, but I don't think mine had the ability to turn it off at the keyboard itself. Take Care |

Hi Jidis, thanks for the info. On your advice I reset all the computer settings and reinstalled the Tascam driver and now it works just fine. Thank you. :-)
