Latest, Greatest 22"-24" monitors??

Hey guys. Just had one of my viewsonics burn out.

What are you guys using these days. Looking for anyone that's bought a monitor in the last few months and what their impression of the various brands is.

Dell is looking good with the G2210 22" for $199, but I can't see that exact model before buying. Any help would be appreciated.

Running it on a Dual 2.0 G5 - SVGA mode (analog)

THANKS!

I've bought a couple... one a 28" I-Inc and the other a 22" I-Inc. Both are the same manufacurer as Hanns-G, btw, and I've had a H-G 19" for a couple of years.

Both are dandy for the price. Potent range of brightness and contrast. Got 'em from Tiger Direct... soooooo cheeeeeep.

The Hanns-G 28" is great - got one here with a new MacPro, and everything is fine and dandy. No dead pixels, lots of connectivity and a fine quality picture.

The Gateway 24" is really looking good right now. Really clear and bright. Also, its a 16:10 instead of the usual 16:9 aspect ratio.

16:9 monitors just look too short and wide to me.

Hans-G makes other sizes. I've been using a '20 Hans-G for over 2 years now. Great price/performance ratio.

Thanks for the input guys!! Much appreciated. After checking out all the options, I ended up with a Dell ultrasharp 22". The deal maker for me was the stand and it's adjustability. I've got the monitors on the meter bridge of my console, and most monitors sit so high that I have to tilt my head up. Quite tiring after a long day.

i'll get them next week and try to report back. Hopefully I'll like the picture......
