Real Drum Loops/ Hits for drum tracks

Is Drums on Demand DOD, the best sounding loop/hit library out there for splicing and dicing things together to make a REAL sounding drum track?

Looking for drag and drop ONLY!!!!!!!!, NO BFD2, AD, SD2, SSD,OWD here please

This is for my brother and he needs something real simple that sounds like a real rock kit if you will. Hes writing songs and has the bass and guitars covered.

thanks guys

Stylus RMX has drag and drop. The "Backbeat" expansion pack has some slamming rock grooves.

EZ Drummer also has drag and drop. You're dropping midi files, but they're made by a real drummer. The nice thing about EZ is that fact that it's so easy to program a stop, or add cymbal crashes - something that's more difficult with an audio loop. You also can change drum kits and mess with the mix. The Vintage Rock add-on is cool, with a funky old low-tuned wallet-snare as an option. The Nashville add-on is really cool, with a good selection of brushed drums, but that might not be up your brother's alley.

For rock, I prefer the sound of the Steven Slate package, (slammin' mix-ready drum sounds) but I haven't even tried his midi files. According to the instructions, you import a linear midi file into your daw and then choose the measure you want to loop. But it also says there are two tracks - one for drums and one for cymbals/hats, which could get a little cumbersome. He's supposed to be releasing a new batch of midi files, but I haven't seen them go up on his site yet.

Another loop producer is called Beta Monkey on the internet. Their loops are cheaper than anyone else's, but there are a lot of different CDs, which could add up if you bought a bunch of them. You can get Beta Monkey loops in Acid, Apple Loop, REX2 and another format I've forgotten. I had some of their acid loops, but there was no way to change the relationship between kick and snare. Their mix has the snare really hot, which is not always the way I like it, but for straight-ahead rock, it's probably appropriate.

Drumcore 3 is being released in 1/2 weeks time,
it has a great Librarian function for importing and accessing all of your files + it is now a plug in and standalone unit. Lots of other good features, comes with twice the content of the previous 2.5 version which has 8gb. The audio loops are recorded at 5/10 bpm intervals for a more realistic feel and by some cool drummers. Midi stuff is also included.
There are some great deals to be had on Drumcore 2.5 at present (i just picked up a new boxed unit for £50) you can then upgrade to version 3 (19gb i think) for £35/$50 in a couple of weeks time.
Submersible Music : DrumCore 3
Download the demo.
Also check out "Kitcore" by the same company.

P.S. bear in mind that the 8gb and 19gb content has been recorded at various bpm.
