Juno 106 Sliders as Midi Controllers?

Hi.

According to this article,

MusicPlayers.com: Reviews > Keyboard > Arturia JP-8V

its possible to use the sliders on a juno 106 to control soft synths..

I'm actually looking to do the same thing as the article talks about - control my jupiter 8v with my juno 106.

But at the moment when I use the midi learn function, the only thing that seems to transmit midi successfully is the pitch bender!

Any ideas?

Thanks

they don't say how they did it... and you might have to ask them.

Usually, when people use midi controllers for softsynths, they are sending midi CCs. Most newer synths send and receive CCs for whatever knobs they have.

The juno uses sysex instead. Sysex is keyboard-dependent, and the app would have to specifically look for juno 106 sysex and convert it to a CC that the softsynth was looking for. Such software probably exists, but I'm not aware of it.

106 has the little switch on the back that says midi I II III
I think III sends all sysex information. I used to use it for controlling before I sold the machine and bought a real controller. But in the good old days of analog I used to do all my programing of the synth and maybe leave a min of track to record all the parameters of a preset.

If often wondered about this but never got around to trying it.

If anyone can confirm it works (and with any softsynth) that would be cool as my Juno 106 is in storage at the moment.

The Juno 106 can´t send CC messages from it sliders it is sys EX messages to remote control another Juno 106.
Maybe...there is some device who can transform SYSEX to CC...

Hi guys. I seem to recall someone saying that I can control my JX-3P with my Juno 106. If so how do I set this up? Can you control all parameters?
Thanks.
