Native Instruments in Pro Tools 8

I know that most of the native instrument plugs aren't officially supported in Pro Tools 8(which is totally lame, don't get me started!), but how are you guys doing using the NI plugs in PT 8(Specifically Battery). It is stupid that they aren't more on top of this, they are full of excusses

Hi JDN

Have you tried to use the NI stuff ?

I ask because I have Komplete 5 running in PTHD8cs2 on a Mac G5 2gig

Battery 3 works fine, as do most of the other plugs I've tried

The only one (off the top of my head) that doesn't run for me is Massive

Am I just lucky with my experience ?

Regards

Lee

Yea, consider yourself luckey. I talked to NI and they said various people are having varying degrees of success. I use one battery, play some drums, loop the part, PT will stop after it cycles through a few times and give DAE error, I'm using macbook 2.4 with 4 gigs of memory!

kontakt 3 works like a charm for me, reaktor 5 however does not. I get buffer error and audio startup messages like crazy followed by crashes. always from a reaktor instrument.

This doesn't work for me with NI in Pro Tools 8....just my luck, got the fxpansion VST to RTAS, and it seems to work with all my plug ins that have VST versions(IK, Arturia, etc) but DOES NOT WORK AT ALL with any NI Instruments. When I insert a VST wrapped NI plug, it shows up, but it won't allow me to click on anything or do anything...i.e. the graphic interface of the plug is there, but useless, can't load or browse or literally do ANYTHING. Plugs look like they are their, but are functionless in every way. WTF is with this NI PT CRAP??
