Thread Starter | I've compared DP/PT/Nuendo. You decide...
I recorded a 16 bar drumloop from a Motif to a stereo audio track. A 2408 and a 001 were used via lightpipe to 2 channels on a d8b. The same 2 channels were used for every mix, so not to confuse the levels. The levels on the daws were left @ 0vu. No plugins were used. Here are the 5 files. 1) PT 6.0.1 LE / 001 2) DP 3.11 / 2408 3) Nuendo 1.52 / 2408 Asio 4) DP 3.11 / 001 (Direct I/0) 5) PT 5.11 / 001 The files were converted to MP3 (320kbps) You can download the files and post your own opinion. Personally, I thought DP 3.11 / 2408 had a slight difference in sound quality. Not by much, but I thought it sounded best. http://homepage.mac.com/soundtest/ |
