Thread Starter | MOTU HD 192 + SSL Alphalink AX
Hi everybody i'm reading the forum since a long time but this is my first thread. Hope someone can help me. I use a MOTU HD 192 with PCI 424 card. I need to know if i can connect to the motu pci card a SSL Alphalink AX (the one with adat interface). I think it's possible, because both motu and ssl have adat interface that supports 24 i/o (12 at 96K). But my question is: SSL has multiple lighpipes, each for 8 channels. Motu PCI 424 has a serial port (9 pins). How can they be put togheter? Is there some "conversion box" or something like that? And is better to add and external clock, or to use internal (motu or ssl)? Thank you and forgive my english Andrea |

You'll have to buy a 2408 interface, which will allow you to connect the Alphalink to your computer via lightpipe. You can't go direct from the Alphalink to the 424 card. Quote:
