Bounce to Disk not working Properly

When I'm done mixing my beat, and I go and I bounce to disk. It'll ask me where I want to save it at and I say my desktop, well once it's done bouncing I go the folder I saved it to on my desktop and there is nothing there. Why is this? I've got my H/W Buffer size set to 256 samples and my DAE playback level set to 2 (Default). I'm also using winamp as my default player, not sure if it matters.I don't have an external hard drive yet either so for now I'm bouncing to my C drive. And I just recently got a new computer so this one I'm using for pro tools doesn't have any internet on it whatsoever and I've disabled the disk drive, deleted a bunch of other things including my virus scanners and Firewall and all that good stuff. Thanks for any advice.PEACE

Did you get a DAE error when it was bouncing?

Sometimes I would sometimes I wouldn't.It depended on what my H/W buffer size and DAE playback were. But when it would be in the bouncing process it would play the whole song like it should and once it was done I would go looking for the file at the location I told it it to save at, and there would be nothing. I might be able to make a video of the problem.

I have the same problem but I noticed the drop-down at the bottom said CDA files so I changed it to all files and the audio files reappeared but when I tried to burn them I got unsuported file format. That would be a wave file. Oh, I did this in audio files. The same happened on the desktop. Let me know if you come up with something.

Send a message via AIM to close/far
Well just for a quick suggestion, trying bouncing it again using a simple file name - something like 12345.wav, or whatever. Once it finishes (assuming there were no errors during bounce), use the search function in your OS to find that file name.

Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you without more information. What's your OS?

Besides that it's not the best idea to bounce to your system disk, are you sure that you gave a proper file name?

bounce dialog before you start? That would be interesting.

There is an option on the bounce to disk dialog "Convert during bounce"
and "Convert After Bounce".

Try changing this option and see what happens..

Ok So when I do the "Convert During Bounce" It does what I showed in the video it plays the music and then I can't find the file.

Now when I change it to "Convert After Bounce" It still plays the music like it should but I get an error message that comes up once it is completed.

This is where I tried saving it just this time, usually like I said I would try to save them to my desktop.

Go through & trash your preferences - worked for me when I had the same problem.

Here's a website to help if you've never done this before.

Good Luck

I think the sweetwater tip is going to help you ..

That's why i asked to you flip the preference .. it illuminates the issue ;-)

If you do the "Convert During Bounce" .. it just stops .. you don't know
why.

If you do the "Convert After Bounce" .. you'll get the Azuki_Cliff message.

Trashing the prefs should help..

In the very off chance that it does not:

Make a new audio track and record to that track (ie., make a bus, assign
the input of the new audio track to that bus, route all your audio out to
the bus the record the track to disk). Then use Option->Shift-K and
export selected to an interleaved wav file. This almost always works when
Bounce To Disk is giving you grief.

I sometimes have the same problem. Just try to select a slightly different region for the bounce, a little shorter or longer. That has worked for me.

Sorry for all the questions jeff, but when I create it as a stereo track and the I export it to my selected folder I get A music file for the Left and a music file for the right of my song. I'm sure that's whats suppose to happen but how do I make it back into one track again so I master it?
