Problems sending S/PDIF signal from RME ADI-2

Hey guys,

I've just recently purchased an RME ADI-2 which sounds awesome however I'm having trouble getting my http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Delta1010LT.html M-Audio Delta 1010lt to receive the S/PDIF coaxial signal from the ADI-2 http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_adi_2.php

~The ADI 2 is receiving the signal from the mixer via 2 xlrs fine and its showing on the LED's however the signal is not showing on
any of the channels on the M-Audio card despite me setting the default recording device as S/PDIF. I'm expecting the signal to show up under "H/W in S/PDIF" but theres nothing there and everything is unmuted.

The signal chain is currently MIXER XLR MAIN MIX STEREO OUTS-> ADI-2 XLR INPUT-> ADI-2 S/PDIF OUT (via RCA PHONO)-> Delta 1010lt S/PDIF IN (VIA RCA PHONO) to hopefully show up on "H/W in S/PDIF" on the m-audio software.

However, playback is fine and sends the signal back via S/PDIF into the ADI-2 and out through 2 xlrs no problem, with the exception of the D/A monitor knob only changing the headphone out level and not the XLR out volume.

If anybody could help or is familiar with either or both of these devices would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Ash

The Volume Knob only controls the headphone out, the output from the xlrs is set via the output selector button. I used an ADI2 to bypass a 002's miserable AD for a while and had my monitors plugged into the headphone socket, hardly ideal but it got me by. There's passive volume knobs available.

If you have version 1.4 or later you can open up your ADI-2 and switch 2 jumpers internal to set your headphone control volume to your XLR AND JACK outputs. Check your manual on the site.
Works great here
