...Best Drum Sample CD(s)??

.....as a sequal to the Best Drum Machine thread http://gearslutz.com/board/showthrea...t=drum+machine
how about the best drum sample CD??

I'm looking for to buy a basic library or two of drum samples (individual hits/not loops) I use Battery and Ableton Live and all I have is the Battery library. I want a library that includes excellent samples of the all the favorite vintage drum machines.

I've heard Dance Mega Drums 2 is good. Any other suggestions?

Thanks
dave

Its not out yet, but the best drum sample CD will be BIG STUDIO DRUM SAMPLES. It is a revolutionary concept in drums samples, with big fat sounding drums ready to be placed in a mix. The drum hits go through many different chains each, including the "british chain" which consists of Neve and SSL compression, or the American chain which is API and Dbx... there is also samples that use SPL Transient Designers, Studer 2 inch tape, there are drums with ring, no ring, tuned tight, tuned loose... and every chain you get to choose a space like close, airy, or big ass NUKE'D room mic. Ever heard of the old trick to mult your close mic'd drum and compress it to hell and mix it in with the dry track? Yeah we did that already for you on some hits.. Its going to be cool, and we'll hopefully have it out in a month. You'll be able to hear plenty of demonstrations with the samples on the website which will be up shortly... If interested, send an email to BangRecording@aol.com with the subject "Put me on the drum list".

I think Dave is looking for samples of electric (drum machine) kits.

I think single-shot drum-machine samples should be farily easy to come by (for free) by doing a google search.

There's some good stuff on this site...
